Description
Everyone knows the ever-growing cones of the stalactites: The stalagmites and stalagtites. Who knows which ones grow upwards and which ones hang down from above? (Solution: The stalagmites grow upwards, the stalagtites hang down). These sinter formations and other bizarre stalactite formations can be admired in the Ötscher stalactite cave near Gaming. Several years ago, the iron road artist Joe Wahler designed an impressive metal construction. Today, this adventure trail leads over the wild and romantic Rosskogelgraben up to the 575-metre-long show cave. Visitors enter a world where it is eternally night. Impressive rock formations have names such as High Dome, Hall of Fiery Tongues or Magic Passage.
