Night of the balloons

Location: Lackenhof in the Weitental valley, at the Great Ötscher lift area

The Ötscher Tourism Association invites you to the Night of the Balloons – an atmospheric winter event for the whole family. As darkness slowly falls, illuminated hot-air balloons, music and winter treats create a truly magical atmosphere at the foot of Mount Ötscher.

Programme highlights

4:15 p.m. – Mountain rescue exercise
After lift operations end, the Lackenhof mountain rescue team demonstrates how a rescue from the lift system is carried out – an exciting and informative experience up close.

from 5:00 p.m. – Music & balloons
From 5:00 p.m., the Lackenhof Music Association provides live musical entertainment.

from 5:00 p.m. – Balloon rides
Hot-air balloon rides for visitors are available from 5:00 p.m. (weather permitting).

from 6:00 p.m. – Gaminger Ötscher Devils
The Gaminger Ötscher Devils add a touch of winter mystique and lively atmosphere with their performance.

Food & drinks

Food and drinks are well taken care of: enjoy mulled wine, punch, roasted chestnuts, Bauernkrapfen and a variety of additional snacks and culinary delights on site.

Parking: Free parking is available during the event.
