Cookies

This website uses cookies. We use cookies to enable the functionality of the website, compile statistics, and provide content tailored to your interests. These data are passed on exclusively in pseudonymised form. By clicking “Allow cookies”, you can continue to use our website in its full functionality. These cookies are – with your consent – also processed and used by third-party providers in the United States. At present, there is no adequate level of data protection in the United States, and it cannot be excluded that governmental security authorities may issue orders to such third-party providers (Google and Meta Platforms, Inc.) to grant access to data for control and surveillance purposes. There are no effective legal remedies or means of redress available against such measures. Furthermore, the United States does not provide suitable safeguards for the protection of personal data. We only transmit your IP address (in shortened form, so that no direct identification is possible) as well as technical information such as browser, internet service provider, device, and screen resolution to Google or Meta. Further details regarding cookies and possible deactivation options can be found in our Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics

Provided that you have given your consent, Google Analytics is used on this website. Hochkar & Ötscher Tourismus GmbH uses Google Analytics to analyse the use of the website. The data obtained are used to optimise the website and our marketing activities and to compile reports on website activity. The reports provided by Google Analytics serve to analyse the performance of our website and the success of our marketing campaigns. Further information on Google Analytics can be found at www.google.com/analytics and in the terms of use and privacy information at https://policies.google.com/?hl=en.

Google Analytics is a web-analysis service of Google LLC. The responsible service provider within the EU is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google processes the data regarding website usage on our behalf and is contractually obliged to implement measures to ensure the confidentiality of the processed data.

During your visit to our website, the following data in particular are recorded:

  • The pages you access and your “click path”
  • Your behaviour on the pages (for example clicks, scrolling behaviour, and length of stay)
  • Your approximate location (country and city)
  • Your IP address (in shortened form so that no clear identification is possible)
  • Technical information such as browser, internet provider, device, and screen resolution
  • The source of your visit (i.e. via which website or advertising medium you reached us)
  • The referrer URL (through which website or advertising medium you came to this website)

These data are transmitted to and stored on a Google server located in Europe.

Recipient

The recipient of the data is Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) as a processor. Niederösterreich-Werbung GmbH has concluded a data-processing agreement with Google for this purpose. Google LLC, headquartered in California, USA, and potentially U.S. authorities, may access data stored by Google.

Transfer to third countries

A transfer of data to the United States cannot be ruled out.

Storage period

Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for a period of 14 months from your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID that allows recognition upon future visits. The recorded data are stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which enables the evaluation of pseudonymised user profiles. These user-related data are automatically deleted after 14 months. All other aggregated data remain stored indefinitely.

Legal basis and right to withdraw consent

The legal basis for this data processing is your consent pursuant to Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by accessing the cookie settings mentioned above and adjusting your selection.

In addition, you can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Google Analytics (with anonymisation function)

We have implemented the IP-address anonymisation feature of Google Analytics on this website. This function was developed by Google to enable this website to comply with the applicable data-protection regulations and recommendations of local authorities, which prohibit the storage of complete IP addresses. Anonymisation or masking of the IP address takes place as soon as IP addresses reach the Google Analytics data-collection network and before any storage or processing occurs. Further information on IP anonymisation can be found at https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2763052?hl=en.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows marketers to manage website tags via an interface. The tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-free domain and does not collect personal data. The tool triggers other tags, which may themselves collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access these data. If deactivation has been performed at domain or cookie level, it remains in effect for all tracking tags implemented via Google Tag Manager.

Google Ads Remarketing

We use the remarketing function within the Google Ads service. The remarketing function enables us to present users of our website with interest-based advertisements on other websites within the Google Advertising Network (in Google Search, on YouTube or on other partner sites). The interaction of users on our website is analysed – for example, which offers the user has viewed – so that we can display targeted advertising on other sites after the user has visited our website. For this purpose, Google stores a number in the browsers of users who visit certain Google services or websites within the Google Display Network. This number, referred to as a “cookie”, records these visits. It is used solely to identify a particular web browser on a specific device, not to identify a person. No personal data are stored.

You can prevent participation in this tracking procedure in various ways:

a) By adjusting your browser software settings, in particular by suppressing third-party cookies so that you do not receive ads from third-party providers;

b) By installing the plug-in provided by Google under the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin;

c) By deactivating interest-based ads from providers participating in the self-regulatory campaign “About Ads” via http://www.aboutads.info/choices (note that this setting will be deleted if you erase your cookies);

d) By adjusting your cookie settings (see the section on Cookies above). Please note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this offer in full.

Further information on data protection at Google can be found at http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy. Alternatively, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) website at http://www.networkadvertising.org.

Google Ads Conversion

We use the Google Ads Conversion service to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites by means of advertising materials (“Google Ads”). This allows us to determine the success of individual advertising measures in relation to campaign data. Our legitimate interest is to show you advertising that is of interest to you, make our website more appealing, and achieve fair billing for advertising costs.

If you arrive on our website via a Google Ad, a cookie is stored on your device by Google Ads. These cookies usually expire after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. Typically, the cookie stores the unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for post-view conversions) and opt-out information (marking that the user no longer wishes to be addressed).

These cookies enable Google to recognise your internet browser. If a user visits certain pages of an Ads customer’s website and the cookie has not expired, Google and the customer can detect that the user clicked on the advertisement and was redirected to that page. Each Ads customer receives a different cookie, so cookies cannot be tracked across Ads customers’ websites. We do not ourselves collect or process any personal data in connection with these advertising measures. We receive only statistical analyses from Google, allowing us to assess which advertising measures are particularly effective. We do not receive further data, and we cannot identify users based on this information.

Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to Google’s servers. We have no influence on the extent and further use of data collected by Google through this tool. According to our knowledge, the integration of Ads Conversion provides Google with the information that you have accessed the corresponding part of our website or clicked on one of our advertisements. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can associate the visit with your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or not logged in, there is a possibility that Google will obtain and store your IP address.

Google Analytics Advertising Features

In addition to the standard functions, we use the extended advertising features of Google Analytics on this website. The implemented features include:

  • Reports on impressions in the Google Display Network
  • Google Analytics reports on performance according to demographic characteristics and interests
  • Integrated services in Google Analytics for which data are collected for advertising purposes, including the collection of data via advertising cookies and anonymous identifiers

In this context, additional data are collected via Google advertising cookies and anonymous identifiers on accesses, alongside the data captured by the Google Analytics tool. We use this information to improve our web offering.

You can prevent the use of Google Analytics advertising features in various ways:

a) By adjusting your browser software accordingly;

b) Via the Google ad-settings page at https://www.google.com/ads/preferences/?hl=en;

c) Via the relevant cookie settings (see above);

d) By deactivating them on the website of the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) at http://www.networkadvertising.org.

Please note that if you deactivate these functions, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

Google reCAPTCHA

To protect your submissions via internet forms, this website uses the reCAPTCHA service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). The query serves to distinguish whether the input is made by a human or by automated, abusive, machine processing. The query includes the transmission of the IP address and, where applicable, other data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service, to Google. For this purpose, your input is transmitted to Google and processed there. By using reCAPTCHA, you agree that the recognition you provide may be used for the digitisation of old works. If IP-anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will, however, be truncated by Google within the Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of this service. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of reCAPTCHA will not be merged with other data from Google. The differing data-protection provisions of Google apply to this data. Further information on Google’s privacy policy can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/.

Google Fonts

This website uses external fonts, Google Fonts. Google Fonts is a service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). However, the external fonts have been integrated locally, i.e. on our own web server. As a result, there is no connection to Google’s servers and therefore no transfer of data to the United States.

YouTube

This website integrates components of YouTube. YouTube is an internet video portal that enables video publishers to post video clips free of charge and other users to view, rate and comment on them free of charge as well. YouTube allows the publication of all types of videos, meaning that complete film and television programmes, music videos, trailers or user-generated videos can all be viewed via the portal.

The operating company of YouTube is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. YouTube, LLC is a subsidiary of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.

Each time a page of this website operated by the controller that contains a YouTube component (YouTube video) is accessed, the internet browser on the data subject’s IT system automatically triggers the download of the relevant YouTube component from YouTube. Further information about YouTube can be found at https://www.youtube.com/yt/about/. Through this technical process, YouTube and Google are informed about which specific sub-page of our website was visited.

If the data subject is logged in on YouTube at the same time, YouTube recognises which specific sub-page of our website is being visited. These data are collected by YouTube and Google and assigned to the respective YouTube account of the data subject.

YouTube and Google receive information that the data subject has visited our website whenever the data subject is logged in on YouTube at the time of accessing our website, regardless of whether or not a YouTube video is clicked. If the data subject does not wish such transmission of information, the data subject can prevent it by logging out of their YouTube account before accessing our website.

The privacy policy published by YouTube, available at https://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/privacy/, provides information about the collection, processing and use of personal data by YouTube and Google.

Adform

This website uses the online marketing tool Adform, provided by Adform A/S, Denmark. Adform uses cookies to display advertisements that are relevant to users, to improve campaign performance reports or to prevent a user from seeing the same advertisements repeatedly. Via a cookie ID, Adform records which advertisements are displayed in which browser and can thus prevent repeated displays. In addition, Adform can record so-called conversions related to ad requests – for example, when a user views an Adform advert and later visits the advertiser’s website and performs an action there. The information obtained in this way may be used by Niederösterreich-Werbung and its tourism partners for Adform advertisements. According to Adform, its cookies contain no personal information such as email addresses, names or postal addresses.

Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Adform’s servers. By integrating the Adform cookie, Adform receives the information that you have accessed the relevant part of our website or clicked on one of our adverts.

Furthermore, the Adform cookies used enable us to understand whether you perform specific actions on our website after viewing or clicking one of our display or video adverts on another platform via Adform (conversion tracking). Adform uses this cookie to determine which content you have interacted with on our websites in order to send you targeted advertising later on.

Our website also uses cookies and products of Adform A/S (Ad Server, DSP and DMP) for audience-targeted advertising in joint controllership within the meaning of Article 26 GDPR with Österreich Werbung (www.austria.info). For this purpose, various parameters (pages visited, device type, geographical origin, most recently visited websites) are recorded and visitors are grouped into segments. Using statistical analysis, similar individuals (“lookalikes”) are subsequently identified within Adform’s global cookie pool to target them with advertising for Austrian tourism offers. These lookalikes may be made available to our cooperation partner Österreich Werbung for Austrian tourism. Further information about Adform can be found at https://site.adform.com/privacy-center/platform-privacy/product-and-services-privacy-policy/.

You will also find an opt-out option there. Data stored by Adform about you can be deleted at https://site.adform.com/privacy-center/platform-privacy/right-to-be-forgotten/.

Facebook Pixel and Remarketing / Retargeting

Based on your consent, our website uses the Facebook Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”). This allows us to track user actions after they have been redirected to a provider’s website by clicking on a Facebook advertisement. This enables us to record the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market-research purposes. We cannot view the personal data of individual users. However, the data collected are stored and processed by Facebook. Information controlled by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited may be transferred or transmitted to, or stored and processed in, the USA or other third countries for the purposes described in the policy.

Facebook may link these data to your Facebook account and use them for its own advertising purposes in accordance with Facebook’s data policy. Facebook Conversion Tracking also allows Facebook and its partners to show you advertisements inside and outside Facebook. For these purposes, a cookie is stored on your computer. Only users over 13 years of age may give their consent.

Our pages also integrate Facebook remarketing tags, which establish a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook can thereby associate your visit to our pages with your user account. The information obtained in this way can be used by us and our tourism partners to display Facebook ads. Please note that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted or of Facebook’s use thereof. Further information can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
